About Us

Brien Electrical Ltd has been established on the Kapiti Coast for over 50 years, with our ownership commencing in 1989 after working for the company for 5 years.

Our main office is located at 15 Ihakara Street, Paraparaumu, where we operate an interactive show room displaying Home Heating, Ventilation & Solar solutions.

Our Wellington branch at 67 Kaiwharawhara Rd (Ngaio Gorge) supports our various ongoing contracts in Wellington City and therefore have a team that is “on call” in the Wellington CBD and Hutt Valley for urgent response work, commercial & domestic electrical construction and maintenance, and heat-pump installation.

Our main client-base consists of commercial, retail, and industrial businesses and building contractors, whilst also servicing a very large database of domestic customers. Our work ranges from high-rise buildings, floor fit-outs and industrial maintenance to new homes, re-wires and domestic alterations and maintenance.

As founding members of the Electrical Contractors Association of New Zealand (ECANZ), we carry the distinction of being Master Electricians. We have subsequently been certified as Energy Wise Contractors under the “Energy Wise Contractors Campaign”. We are also Certified Contractors with the Philips “Greenswitch Program” promoting energy efficiency while having regard for our environment.

  • Washtech / Starline Commercial Dishwashers
  • Drivaire Home Air Systems
  • Fujitsu, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Toshiba/Carrier, Hitachi and Daikin Air Conditioning & Heat pumps
  • We are the only “Authorised Panasonic Service Centre” on the Kapiti Coast servicing all Panasonic heat pumps

We have a team of Independently Qualified Persons (I.Q.P.) in Emergency Lighting, Fire Protection, and Ventilation and Ventilation systems. We also offer full Electrical Inspection Services from total Installation Inspections to Caravan Warrant of Fitness Inspections and are members of the New Zealand Electrical Inspectors Association.

We pride ourselves on our efficiency and the fast response times that are required to operate a complete 24-hour 7 day service to all our customers whether it is for their home or business.
