About Us

Brien Electrical Ltd has been established on the Kapiti Coast for over 40 years, with our ownership commencing in 1989 after working for the company for 5 years. Our main office is located at 15 Ihakara Street, Paraparaumu, where we operate an interactive show room displaying Home Heating, Ventilation & Solar solutions. Here, we also support our sub-company “The Digital Lounge” specialising in Home Theatre – Audio Visual design, supply & installation. Our Levin branch and showroom, at 530 Queen Street, also offers a full range of our services to the Horowhenua region as well as a “Lighting Depot” Retail Store. We also have various ongoing contracts in Wellington City and therefore have a team that is "on call" in the CBD and Hutt Valley for urgent response work.

Our main client-base consists of commercial, retail, and industrial businesses and building contractors, whilst also servicing a very large database of domestic customers. Our work ranges from high-rise buildings, floor fit-outs and industrial maintenance to new homes, re-wires and domestic alterations and maintenance.

We hold founding membership with the Electrical Contractors Association of New Zealand (ECANZ), and were subsequently certified as Energy Wise Contractors under the "Energy Wise Contractors Campaign". Recently also becoming Certified Contractors with the Philips “Greenswitch Program” promoting energy efficiency while having regard for our environment.

We carry the distinction of being Independently Qualified Persons (I.Q.P.) in Emergency Lighting, Fire Protection, and Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems. We also offer full Electrical Inspection Services from total Installation Inspections to Caravan Warrant of Fitness Inspections and are members of the Central Region Electrical Inspectors Association.

Other services we provide include power-tool repairs, stove repairs and installations; we're licensed Security Alarm technicians and approved Freeview TV installers.

We pride ourselves on our efficiency and the fast response times that are required to operate a complete 24 hour 7 day service to all our customers whether it is for their home or business.
